ALGERIA SOUHANE MASSACRE
November 27, 1997 - Algeria
The second of three massacres by Armed Islamic Group (GIA ) on the small mountain town of Souhane leaves a further 18 men, 3 women an 4 children dead. The town with just 4,000 inhabitants was attacked in an even worse massacre in August where 64 were killed. The GIA conducted a violent campaign of civilian massacres, sometimes wiping out entire villages in its area of operation in an attempt to overthrow the Algerian government and replace it with an Islamic state. During it's reign of terror the GIA is believed to have been responsible for the murder of between 2,000 and 5,000 innocent civilians.

At the University of Chicago, he performed the first segmental transplant in the United States (1985), the first split-liver transplant (one donor, two recipients) in the U.S. (1988) and developed the technique for transplantation from a living donor.

But here's the truth: Sometimes the more things change, the more they stay the same. And sometimes, oh, sometimes change is good. Sometimes change is everything...."

Fact: Spending the day staring at a screen can tire or strain your eyes, but it will not hurt them. Make sure lighting doesn't create a glare on your screen. When spending long periods at your keyboard, take a break now and then to rest your eyes to reduce fatigue. Also, don't forget to blink. Your eyes need to stay lubricated to feel comfortable.
