    By the 4th game of the 1919 World Series between the champion Chicago White Sox and Cincinnati Reds. Questions were already being asked re "Is The 1919 Series Fixed" which the Cincinnati Reds won . Following 12 months of investigation and confessions from 2 of the players all eight implicated White Sox were banned from Major League Baseball for life and the first Commissioner of Baseball is created to ensure it never happened again.

    LAST MINI ROLLS OFF PRODUCTION LINE
    October 4, 2000 - Birmingham, UK

    After more than 40 years of production and over 5 million minis sold the last mini is driven off the production line at the Longbridge plant in Birmingham by 60s Icon Lulu today. The new Mini which is a complete redesign and will be called the New Mini by BMW will go on sale next year. When the Mini first went on sale in 1961 it cost £496 the last few Mini's built this year cost about £8,500.
