Glenn Jr., Virgil "Gus" Grissom, Walter Schirra Jr., Alan Shepard Jr., and Donald Slayton to take part in Project Mercury, America's first manned space program.

The beautiful wildlife sanctuary was created in the year 1905, and about 68 years later it was declared a national park. The park is the host for two third of the world’s population on one horned rhinos and also holds the highest density of Tigers among all the protected areas in the world. This park also is a domicile for large breeding inhabitants of Elephant, wild water buffaloes and swamp deer. Declared as Important Bird Area by Birdlife International this national park is a home for a great variety of inhabitant and migrating birds.
