In February 2007, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit affirmed the lower court ruling. The lawsuit affirms that female employees made up 65% of Wal-Mart's hourly-paid workforce, but only 33% of its management. The class-action lawsuit plaintiffs estimate that about 1.6 million women could be included in the suit which is a gender discrimination lawsuit.
